Another Afgan Update

Just to let you all know that it looks like for now I won't be going. They gave my trip to someone else because they couldn't gaurantee that I would be fit to go because of everything that has been going on with my knee lately. But I say the ortho specialist on friday and he said that surgery isn't needed, just a lot of physio and strengthening.....back to the gym I go. My name is still on the list so I still may be going just probably not as soon as we originally thought.

Little Brother's Visit

So with James home I haven't been posting much. And I don't really plan on being on here too long today either. I just wanted to share some photos from when Adam (James' brother) came for a quick visit.

We were actually at a wedding of friends of ours when he got into town, that is why we are all dressed up. It wasn't just because he was coming. LOL!!!

I will post again soon once I download the pics from our little trip to Vancouver last week. It was short but it was nice.

Afganistan update....

I just thought I would let you all know that my name finally got pulled. I got a call this morning from my Chief Petty Officer and I have been told that I am to start the DAG process when I get back from leave in two weeks. For those of you who don't know, this does not mean that I am automatically going. What this means is that I am to do all of the paperwork, medicals, ect in preparation to go but for many reasons may not end up going. But I will definitely start the process and keep you all posted as to if I go or not. If I do go it will be in Jan for a couple months of pre deploymnent training inside Canada then over to there in April some time. I know some of you are probably shaking your heads wondering why I would want to do this but this is something that I have wanted to do since I joined and am excited that I may finally be allowed to go.

On another note....I gotta go finish getting ready because I get to go pick up James....he'll be home in 2.5 HOURS!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Quick Update

Just thought I would post a quick update for y'all. Not too much going on around here. The kiddos are still up visiting my mom, they will be home in just over a week. James will be home on Friday so that is where all my excitement is right now :)

As for my knee....still don't know. I have gotten more mobility in it but stairs still hurts quite a bit. I have an appt with a specialist at the end of the month and they are booking me a bone scan too. The dr I have been seeing is a sports med dr and can't believe that the issues with my knees have gone on this long. So basically we are waiting too see what comes of the bone scan and my specialist appt before we can think of the next step. For now though just keep you fingers crossed.

With James coming home so soon I can't see too many posts happening in the near future but you never know.

A little note for just Keenan....I love ya big guy!! Can't wait for you to come home. All the boys have been asking about you. I think Cole misses you too. I have seen him wondering the streets with buckets and nets just waiting for you to come home and play at the pond.

More Pics and Clips from the Clutz

For those of you who didn't know already, I was a clutz again on Wednesday morning. As I was leaving for work I was going down the stairs off the porch and I tripped over the straps to my back pack. Landed smack on my knee. Luckily it was only one knee, the other was saved by the evil back pack. So I am not too mobile right now. But like everything else I will get over it....sometime. As long as it is better by next weekend I'll be happy. Thats when James comes home on leave and I don't really want to be all crippled.
But I wanted to post the other pics and video clips I mentioned earlier. So here are the pics and I will try to add the videos but I don't know if they will work.

Isn't this the cutest little strawberry Shorcake out fit ??!!

My two little models, now don't those smiles just melt your heart!!

Keenan got to go on his first ever helicopter ride over the Douglas Channel up in Kitimat and he just LOVED it!!

Haylei loved Keenan's old chair up at moms so much she wanted to sit in it all the time in the driveway!! LOL!!!

I can't believe how big he is getting, check out those muscles!!

Haylei playing in the sand pit we made for her.
They both love the bubbles. So did my moms dog though, he would try to eat them all. LOL!!

And here are a couple vids too. I tried to rotate them, lets see if it works....

At least the south terminal isn't very busy and they kids found a place to burn off some energy. Hey, whatever works.

These two are of Haylei sining her version of Happy Birthday. She only got a couple words but notice how she can't say mom quietly ?? I think I have never heard her say it quietly, it is always "MOM!!!!" .

WOOHOO!! They worked. Well, that is it for now. Time for me to ice the knee.

Our trip to Kitimat

I just got back from my mommy's. It is strange having a quiet house. Nice, but strange. Anyways, here are some awesome pics of the kiddos during our trip.

These are at the pond just before we left.

Waiting for Grandpa's bus.

On the bus to the Ferry. Nice tongue Keenan!! Note how Haylei is always in a different seat. She just wouldn't sit still!! LOL!!!

Haylei wasn't too sure about being outside on the ferry.

These are the cute t-shirts Auntie Dayna brought back from her travels for the kids. Thank you Auntie Dayna!!!

Grandpa and Uncle Mark attacked Keenan and pants him. Keenan wasn't too impressed by this. It was kinda funny though.

These last two are my favorite ones from the whole trip. I think this one just looks neat.

And isn't this the most precious picture EVER!!! She was glued to the window during the entire take off, that is Vancouver on the ground.

I have more but blogger is starting to act funny with my pics so I will stop it here for now.

Honey, if you are reading this we love you and are excited to see you soon.

Keenan, be good for Nana and Papa. Have a fun visit and have Nana give you and your sister hugs and kisses from me. I love you.
