Great Fun

WHAT A WEEKEND. We had so much fun. I took the kids camping and we had a blast. I am exhausted now though and I am REALLY not wanting to clean up the trailer and stuff right now. So here I am procrastinating. LOL!!

Haylei had NO FEAR all weekend. She went every where and LOVED it. Everywhere that big brother went she wanted to follow. And I mean EVERYWHERE.

I picked up Keenan some of those caps that are supposed to go into a cap gun. He sat there forever exploding those little pieces of paper with rocks. SOOOOO much better than sitting in front of a playstation or something.

It rain on us the second day but sometime around 3pm it stopped and cleared up. It didn't bother the kids thou, they found something to amuse themselves...Haylei was loving splashing in the puddles, and Keenan got to use my friends Terry's IPOD headset. So they were both happy.

After it cleared up and we all had dinner we took a walk down to the Falls. It was only about a 15 minute walk from our campsite but the trail down to it is quite a bit of stairs. It wasn't that bad but we were all worried that Haylei wouldn't be able to do it and that we may have to take turns carrying her. But she wanted nothing to do with that. She walked the whole way there, stairs and all all by her little self. Plus she got to walk Terry's Jack Russell, Bailie. Then she walked up all of those stairs and all of the way back too. I was so impressed with her.

This little waterfall is beautiful and it is deep so you can actually swim in it. As it flows down there are it more or less turns into more of a stream and it is calm so you can wade in the more shallow parts. Keenan was in up to his waist. He was totally enjoying this place.

This next one is my favorite picture from the weekend.

This was a really great place to go camping. The campsites were good sizes and you were not so close to your neighbour that you could hear him fart in the morning. I actually stood in the campsite and looked around and could honestly say that I could see nothing but forest. It was nice. We will have to go back.

Alone again

Well, James is gone again. He left on Monday morning to Halifax for 5 months :( It sucks butt, but we will live. At least he will be home for 3 weeks during the summer so that is good :)

Not too much to say right now. Work is CRAZY busy and it is just going to get worse with most of my guys getting sent over to the mainland to fight the floods.

And of course James is gone so one of us got sick. It always happens when he isn't here. Little Miss Halyei is sick. But the worse part is HE gave it to her. Of course he didn't mean to but none the less now she is sick and he isn't here. Good ol' Murphy's Law.

Anyways I am taking the kids camping this weekend so I should have some good pics for you soon.

I said in the last post that I was going to post pictures of my cuties....well, how could I forget this one ????

Can you tell he was on leave when I took this picture? Hence the scruffy face. It is a good thinghe has to be clean shaven for work because this facial hair CRAP does NOT suit him. LOL!!

This smile melts my heart eveytime I see it. How did I get so lucky to get such a hottie you ask ?? I don't know but I sure am glad that I was :)

Picture Catch Up

I woke up this morning to a empty house. It is always strange to wake up to a quiet house wondering..."Where is my family." But I will take full advantage of it as it does NOT happen often and with James leaving again in 1 week for 5 months it won't happen again for a long time.

We finally have the new computer up and running so I will finally post some pics of my cuties.

Long time....

I know I know it has been a long time since I have posted. It has been a little nuts around here with one thing or another. But we are going to put in the new computer this weekend then I will be back posting pic of the kids and stuff. I just don't want to download anything to the old computer right now and then have to clear them out.

Haylei's First Hair Cut

Just look how long her bangs were. If her hair wasn't up it was ALWAYS in her face, and she didn't like that so it was time for the "First Hair Cut."

It went smoother than you think. Our little princess sat up on the counter playing with the toothpaste and stuff which kept her occupied and relatively still so I could do it. I think it makes a big difference. It makes her more like a "little girl" than "baby". It is kinda sad in a way but she STILL looks like the cutest little thing EVER!!

Ok, so my computer has temporarily let be back in to Blogger so I am going to do another quick pic post for now. If it lets me back on another time I will post more than pics cuz MAN!! It has been a hectic(ish) week.

Quick picture update

Ok, I have been a little preoccupied since James came home. But after being hounded by my mom, and rightfully so, I will do a quick update FINALLY!! HAHA. (Hi mom)

Here is Keenan's green mohawk. It was a surprise for daddy, we did it the night before James came home, and YES it is gone now.

Here we are, the second car to show up on the Jetty, believe it or not we were NOT the first ones there. I knew I should have camped out the night before. LOL!!

More people have showed up now so the excitement is building and we moved from the car to the jetty with our signs in hand.

This is the fire tug that came in ahead of the ship to add a bit more of a show to their return. Apparently there was a helo and some other stuff too but to be honest I don't think too many people were paying attention to anything other than the ship.

OOHHHHHH, Here they come!!!!!!!!! And here is when the..."where is he" frantic searching starts.

My little piggies

I took the kids out for lunch the other day and this is what they ate. Yes, I know it isn't all that healthy but it isn't like they eat this stuff everyday.


Haylei ate 1/2 a jar of her stuff, (yes she sometimes still has and likes the jarred stuff)half of my hot dog PLUS most of my NYF's. I didn't like them and they were sitting there and she reached over, grabbed them then filled her face. Apparently one fork wasn't enough. HAHA!!!


Keenan has had a nacho or two from Taco Time but NEVER an entire plate!!


I just couldn't believe how much they ate, I am NOT looking forward to the teenage never-ending-pit years. LOL. Next time I will make sure they are stuffed BEFORE we leave the house.

Not much to say

Well, I don't have too much to say. I am sicker than a dog right now...AGAIN!!! Crap, will this EVER end ???

Anyways, we are getting closer and closer to my amazing man returning home to us and we couldn't be more excited. Well, I guess we could. Just ask us the day before. LOL!!

But now that I know he can see these pics I am just gonna drop in a few of the kids to tie him over until next weekend!! YA!!!

Right now he is up near the snow and ice and is not liking the fact that he had to shovel snow and chip ice today. It is the first time in 4 years that he has had to do that. Poor guy. I feel for ya baby!!

Government House

The kids and I had a night out at The Government House on Wednesday. We were invited guests of BC's Lieutenant Governor . When I say we, I mean all of the families of the crew of HMCS OTTAWA. They said it was a way of appreciating the families behind the boys and girls out there. Sure, sounded good.

So we went there and this place is GORGEOUS!! I wish I took more pictures but my camera was dying (I thought I charged them but I guess I didn't have them in the charger properly, its happend before). So I had to be picky with what I shot. I could have shot myself when I didn't bring back up batteries. LOL!!! Anyways, it was nice. We did the receiving line then the line got introduced and was led in the room by a guy playing the bagpipes. The piper brought them in then led a train of people (mostly all the kids) around the giant ballrom, up the stairs to the overlooking balcony then around the room some more before he led the Governor General and others up on the stage. The kids LOVED it !! Us parents were watching the old nursey rhyme happen right in front of us. HAHA!!

After that there were a couple short speeches, that I missed because Ms. Haylei was on the move and LOUD, then on to appies and socialising. The was a little kids section too with lots of kid food, cookies and juice and stuff. There were even a couple of clowns playing and making balloon animals and stuff for the kids, there was face painting. It was a REALLY good night. I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
