This is my step mom Shona...
Look at all the hair she use to have. Strike a pose mom!!!
Then there is Chris, our oldest brother
Gotta LOVE those suspenders...and he thought he was HOT!!!!
I don't have any good ones of Michelle, and I don't have ANY of Mark, but then there is Angella...
Angella, Dayna and I. LOVE those denim skirts !!!
See, she did have straight hair at one point. And she too can have that mischievious smile!!
I don't know if you can tell, but check out how high her bangs are. I must say back then when it was the higher the better, she made me jealous.

Welcome Home
I have just heard the most amazing song!!! It was written by Rory Feek and it has totally touched me to the point that it got me crying. It was written for the Vietnam Vets who did not get a proper "Welcome Home" when they returned from overseas. They didn't get the appreciation and celebration that the soldiers nowadays get. I think that this has been a long time coming. It was written for the American Vets but I think that this is for ALL vets. If you know any vets please pass this song along to them because they deserve it !!!!!
There is a little bit of chatting before and after the song but just listen.
Welcome Home

The Kids
Haylei doesn't like the flash on my camera...she looks like a dear in headlights. LOL!!!
And man....can I see more and more of her daddy in her.
And here she is sitting all by herself on the couch...man she is growing quick!!!
We have finally gotten around to decorating the yard for Christmas and the neighbourhood boys wanted to help too.
Doesn't daddy look impressed ? We let the kids help to a point and when we wanted to do the bigger stuff we sent them on their way and fixed what they had done. Hehehe...
I know I don't put many of me in here, but James liked this one...I have garland in my hair. He thought it looked cute. Ya sure.....
Man, these military houses are U-G-L-Y !!! Yes, our house is yellow and green. It is a giant UGLY easter egg!!!!!! At least the insides aren't as bad.Tuesday, December 06, 2005
FIRE!!!!!!
No, I did not have a fire. I went to one. I took Keenan and Haylei to the DC (Damage Control) School. It is the unit on base that does all of the training when it comes to firefighting and flood control. They were having a night fire exercise for the firefighters and one of the guys that is in my evening class told me bring Keenan down to see it. I thought that would be cool, so right after swimming tonight we went to check it out. This is what we got to see.... |
Now wasn't that COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eating
I just have to share these photos!!! We tried Haylei on some banana baby food and she didn't know what hit her. The faces she made were priceless, it was like she was eating a lemon!!! And of course, my camera didn't get the really good ones.
Here is Haylei at bathtime. We have come to feed her her cereal in the bath before bed. It is just cleaner that way. She usually is good during bathtime unless we have to wake her up to do it. Which is almost every night, but if she has enough time to actually wake up first she enjoys it.
Here is Daddy feeding her. She isn't really awake here, she didn't want to eat, she only wanted to sleep. But once we took her out, her smiling self emerged!!! Now, isn't that a happy baby!!!!
By the way, if anyone has any helpful hints about how my camera will take better pictures (not so dark) that would be greatly appreciated. This camera is starting to drive me NUTS!!!!!
SNOW!!!!
Okay, everyone out there. I have proof that it DOES snow in Victoria. Mind you it isn't much but it was enough to get everyone excited....well, at least the kids. It may not look like much but it doesn't take much to get people freaking out around here, my guess is that if there had been even twice as much it probably would have been called a "Snow Day." LOL!!!!!
This was the quickest I have ever seen Keenan get ready in the morning. As soon as he saw the snow it took him all of 2 minutes to be dressed and out playing. I couldn't say no to him, even if it was only 7am...it may be the only time he got to play with snow this year. He was soooooo happy!!!!!!

He's back !!!!!
Yes, thats right my husband is back. It was a LONG six weeks but he is finally home and we are all VERY happy about it. He returned last wednesday and I don't think I got any sleep the two days before. The excitement was unbearable. Finally the day came and we loaded up the kids and headed down to dockyard to pick him up. I say "we" because Pam came over the night before so that she could be there when her hunny came in too (he's on the same ship as James). This is what is on both of the kids PJ's
