HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!!

Yesterday was baby girl's first birthday. I can't believe that it has been a year already....and what a year it has been. She has grown a ton and is starting the task of walking. I love this stage, it is soooo cute to see those little legs try to go. She says "HI" all the time and she has started saying "issat," which is her way of saying what is that. Here are a few pics from last night and her attacking her little birthday cake. James' parents are coming for a visit...(James is gone right now to get them) and we are going to have her birthday party this sat. Then she will have a bigger cake to attack. LOL.

Finally in the house

Yes we are in now and we couldn't be more happy. This place is amazing compared to any place I have ever lived before. IT IS HUGE!!! Well, for us it is. I think the 9 foot ceilings do it. We moved in 12 Aug and today we finally got our sod (grass) put down. I was sooo excited when Isaw the landscapers and the sod truck show up this morning I was litterally dancing around the house. I even rubbed it into our neighbour Sean..singing "Weeeee go-ot gra-ass" sounds childish but he knew I was only happy. There is sooo much sod that they will get part of their yard done too. YAAA It really will cut down on the dust and dirt in our houses and our yards will look sooooo much better. Once it is all done I will post a pic. So here is the house...

Long time gone

Well, I have not been on much in the last while but that is because I had ANOTHER surgery on my foot about 2 weeks ago. My foot had gotten soo massively infected that my foot was one red block with NO definition. By the time I got admitted into the hospital I still had to wait 5 hrs before they operated. While laying there killing time, I looked down and there was a red streak coming up my leg. Talk about scarey...usually that means some degree of blood poisoning the nurse told me. Nice eh ?? Anyways, I spent something like 6 days there (over the hot spell we were having here, my air conditioned room was great), then when I got home I was confined to my bed so I could have my foot elevated. Sounds good but in reality IT SUCKED!!! So secluded from the family, not being able to do ANYTHING. I'm glad that is over. The Dr. said that I can start putting some weight on it but I still have to remember to elevate frequently...whatever that means. LOL

Anyways, the house is done. We do our pre occupancy inspection tomorrow and our possession date is supposed to be 10 Aug, but we don't actually take possession because we have top do an occupancy inspection on the 11th @ noon which is when we are supposed to get our keys. Tell me this...why do they call it our possession day when don't even take possession???? We have the movers booked for the 11th all of our utilities are to be turned off here and turned on over there(which we did before they told us of this inspection on the 11th, originally they told us that we could move on the 11th). The problem is that now James has had to move the movers to the 12th because they won't move us on the 11th seeing how we won't have the keys until that afternoon. UURRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! Talk about frusterating. I don't know if that made any sense to you if not call me and I'll try to explain.

Note to Sean and Holli...make sure this doesn't happen to you. :)

Anyways, I will still be rather scarce here in the blogging world with packing and moving but once we get settled I'll get back on. Plus once James goes to the Gulf I'll be on here so much you'll all get sick of me.

House update

As for the house, it is coming along great. We went up last week and there hasn't been much done since the last time we were there except that the poured the back patios. I say patios, plural becasue we had an extra one poured for the hot tub. I seriously can't wait!!! The interior has been fully painted, the tiles are down but the hadn't been grouted yet. The yard is excavated (it looks like it is going to be HUGE!!!) The door for the garage was open so we went in for a peek, James took a bunch of pictures and I will post them as soon as I download them. But everything looks good to me. Basically it looks like all that is left is to put down the hardwood floors, carpet, install the cabinetry, and get all of the appliances in place. There are a couple things that I'm not too happy about. There are supposed to be extra plugs on the outside of the house up by we would put X-mas lights so that we don't have to run massive extension cords but all that is there are holes, and it has been that way for awhile...I think someone has forgot about them. Plus that garage door that was open was also broken (big crack down the side), and the roughed in electrical for the hot tub is in the dumbest location. If it stays where it is it is going to look rediculous. We told the guy that has taken us on the ispections that that isn't where we wanted it but he hasn't done nothing. I'm not too impressed.

But with moving day quickly approaching I just want everything done properly so that there is no reason for our possession date to be moved any later. And so that we can have our new home when we are supposed to so that we can unpack and make our home beautiful!!! Which it will be. Once our yard is done the way we want it, we will probably hardly EVER be inside.

Somebody get me a knife!!!

I want to cut off my foot!!! That is how I feel lately about my foot. It has been over 2 months now since I had my foot surgery and I am still dealing with it. It just doesn't want to heal. I can hardly walk most days. I have been limping for 2 months now...when and if it ever gets better I'm going to be so used to limping I'll probably keep doing it.

I have no idea as to why it won't heal....I've taken all the medication that I'm supposed to and all of that but it just keeps leeking stuff and feeling like it is going to explode. I've had X-Rays, swabs, and even a bone scan. The swab came back from the lab saying that there was some sort of bacteria, which apparently isn't a normal bacteria that they see on that type of swab, (whatever that means). I was told that this line of bacteria can be rather persistant and difficult to treat. YAAAA ME!!

The Dr. didn't see anything on the X-Ray but the radiologist hasn't looked at it yet and he can read them better. At my bone scan the other day the technician said that there was deffinate increased blood flow to the area...NO SHIT!! She told me the obvious. It is an injury, there SHOULD be increased blood flow trying to heal it. BUT IT ISN"T HEALING!!! I felt like screaming at her..."THAT IS WHY I'M HERE!!!" But I didn't, I mean it isn't her fault that the Dr. who did the surgery is retarded...or that my foot is just stubborn.

All I want is my foot back to normal. Well, normal for me.

Sorry for venting on all of you but I'm just sooooo frusterated at the whole thing. A couple people I work with are trying to convince me to go after the Dr. who did it. I don't think I could, but it would be nice.

I think the thing that is bugging me the most is that it is less than a month now before we move and if my foot doesn't get better soon, I'm not going to be much help to poor James, who yet again is going to be stuck doing most of it himself.

These pictures are a few weeks old but I can't remember the last time I posted on the house. But the last time we went up there both houses were drywalled and mudded. Apparently Holli and Sean's possession date has been moved up by 3 weeks. We haven't heard anything on our house yet but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Just more pics

Picture update

Okay, here are a couple pictures seeing how it has been awhile. The one of Haylei and Cleo eating is proof of how they are at Cleo's feeding time. The one of James is just to show of my handsome hubby and to show off his cute pink flip flops. LOL

Kiddies

Well, I know it has been awhile since I have mentioned the kids, and probably even longer since I have posted and pictures. I can't post pics from work so they will have to wait but as for the kids...

Keenan is doing great for the most part. Still a HUGE handful at times but I like to think that is just because he is a 6 year old little boy. His karate is going terrific, he had a promotion lately and now instead of a white belt his has a yellow stripe. YA KEENAN!!! He is still doing T-Ball and getting better and better at hitting the ball, (one of the farthest on his team). But he can't grasp the idea that if he is playing 3rd base and the ball is hit to 1st he isn't supposed to run all the way over and tackle his team mates for the ball. He doesn't quite get that whole thing.

Haylei is growing strong. At the last weigh in she was 19lbs 2oz. Her 3rd tooth has come through and we are expecting tooth #4 and day now. She walks along the furniture all the time and has started crawling up the stairs. THE BABY GATES HAVE GONE UP!!! She says "Hi" now and waves her little hand. There have been other words that we think she may have said but so far "Hi" is the only one she will do on command. Her and the dog still share EVERYTHING. Toys, paper and the dog food are pretty much fair game between the two of them. I almost feel bad for the dog at meal times...Haylei hovers over the food and Cleo has to try to eat around her. Oh, well. At least Cleo won't be aggressive with her food after this. LOL

I will post some pics soon....okay, at least in a few days.

Taking the Plunge!!

We'll we've decide we ARE getting a hot tub for the new house. Yipppeee!! I can't wait. But now we have to find one...a good one. It would be nice if they weren't so freaking expensive but I guess there is a price for luxury.

Anyone has any tips/hints ect they would be GREATLY appreciated.

Plus we are trying to figure out fencing...possible with Holli and Sean. It makes sense to us to be in cahoots with The Ward's...I mean after all we will be sharing a property line. We have been looking at that lattice work fencing and we found one that instead of being just straight lattice work on the top of each panel it is arched. I think it would be nice and slightly different than everyone around. Basically my question is to Matthew...what do you think Mr. Woodwork man ? And to Holli and Sean...what do you think?

Any ideas would be awesome.

BLING BLING !!!!!!

I cannot forget to tell you all how amazing my husband is. I know I've said it before but I will say it over and over because HE IS!!! I went out with a bunch from work on Friday (work function), and when I got up in the morning he had flowers for me. The best part is that they are BLUE!!! I thought that was great but then he pulled a sneaky on me.

Since we got married I haven't been able to actually wear my wedding band. With gaining the massive amount of weight with Haylei I was unable to get it over my chubby finger. I could wear my engagement ring but not the two together. The wedding band is a sleeve for the engagement ring and when put together they are too wide to get on together. I took it in finally a week and a half a go and they told me that it wouldn't be ready until the 10th. Well, while I wasn't home on Friday the jewllers called and he went and got it. That sneaky guy kept it all weekend without telling me nothing. Yesterday after we went and checked out the new house he said there was one more thing he wanted to do before we went home. I never thought anything of it until he drove down to the Lagoon and pulled up right where he proposed to me almost 2 years ago. We pulled up and he told Keenan to stay in the truck and wait with Haylei...now I'm starting to wonder what he is up to.

We walk down to the beack and he pulls out the ring. I started shaking just like when he proposed. He slipped the ring on my finger and I fought back the tears. What a sweetheart!!!!

Lets just say that made up for a non existant mother's day.

SOOOO Missed

Well, I can tell by the massive amount of comments (NOT) that I was soooooo missed. LOL

Anyways, I am back now. Surgery went okay. Still a bit sore but I am functioning almost back to normal. I am not going to go into details but the problem I had with my foot was sort of interesting. When the Dr took out the neuroma he stated that it was over 4 times the size it is supposed to be and that he had never seen one that big. CRAZY eh? No wonder it hurt.

I have been back to work since 1 June and so far it is a little slow going. I have been moved from the claims section over to the release section. There is ALOT to know in the section that is really time sensitive, I mean after all we are dealing with people's releases from the military to civilian life and it entails a HUGE amount of work. I haven't gotten to actually DO alot yet...just a WHOLE TON of reading.

We went to check out the houses yesterday...SOOOOO EXCITING!!!! They have the drywall up and mudded now, to my untrained eye it looks like all they have to do is paint and all of the finishing stuff. You know...cupboards, toilets, flooring. Basically everything that transforms it from a house in progress to a soon to be home. The only thing I wish is that our budget would have let us get the "Creekside" design (same as Sean and Holli's)but it wasn't in the cards this time. Don't get me wrong, for our first home ours is going to be great.....next time...BIGGER!!!!!

Trying the latest pictures one last time...

Okay here goes my last try!!!

This last shot is Sean and Holli's place. It looks to us that they are further along the building process. If you look real close in the garage you can see that they have electrical work started....we don't.

Okay thats it for me for now. I'll be back in a couple weeks...or sooner depending.

Take Care :)

Latest on the houses

Okay well there are a few more that are more up to date but I think I have max out my blogger abilities today...or something because now it won't let me play any more. Well, I will try again later or tomorrow before my joyful appt.

Hope you enjoy the shots I already posted :)

Okay, here are the houses

I didn't get the houses in on the last post.

Pics of Kids and House

Okay, here are the pic I promised. Don't have alot of time here so I'm just gonna post some pics and I will be back in a couple weeks....or sooner if things go well.

Daddy thought the booger bubble was funny

Late again...

I know, I know, I'm a little slow on the postings. Which I have heard a few times from a couple of my unnamed sisters. LOL!! Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the blogging will be coming to a short pause. I have foot surgery tomorrow and will not be able to make it into the basement at all so it will have to wait until I recover. I wish I had a lap top but I don't. At least I will have a lot of reading to do when I become mobile again.

I have finally downloaded my camera so I will do an update on the house, kids and Cleo (the puppy) tonight before I have to temporarily abandon the computer.

For those who haven't seen pictures of the house just wait till you see them, everything is coming along quickly now...only 3 months to go !!!!! I know some of you have seen our house on Sean and Holli's blog but some of you haven't. It was amazing to drive up there the other week and all of the sudden there was an actual house there. Not just cement and dirt.

Trust me I can't wait to be all moved in and soaking in the hot tub....if we can get one we like at a decent price. I can dream though!!!
